It's sometimes difficult to absorb everything your doctor says when you're under the stress of living with a serious condition. Another set of ears can help absorb some of the information you might miss, and help answer questions you might have after the appointment. You might also bring a tape recorder and let the doctor know you are going to record the appointment.
